Being a relative newbie to the Twin Cities I am continuously amazed at the beauty and creative inspiration found just around almost every corner I traverse. This week I bought a canoe to enjoy the lakes around my studio. It was wonderful to get out and see the neighborhoods and the peak-a-boo views of the city surrounding Cedar Lake and Lake of the Isles. It also was a great way to help recharge my creativity.
Speaking of Lakes, I just finished a new project for Putnam & England, Co., a paper-goods and giftware manager of vintage-style art, that's focused on lake-life, specifically life around the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota. It contains maps, illustrations, and faux textile designs. You can view all of the images in the illustration section of my design website under Land of 10,000 Lakes.
